Ingredients:
For fondue:
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
- 1 scoop of vegan unflavored protein powder
- 2 tbsp vegan butter or cooking oil of choice
- 1/2 cup shredded vegan sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Dippers of choice:
- Crackers
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Bread
- Celery
- Carrots
- Apples
- Pita Chips
- Broccoli
Directions:
- In a small pot over medium heat, add in the vegan butter. Once melted, add in the whole wheat flour. Cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in 1 cup of vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add in dijon mustard and protein powder. Then add in the garlic, turmeric, and paprika powders, and mix everything thoroughly.
- Cook for about 1 minute. Add more vegetable broth (about 1/2 cup or as needed).
- Once simmering, slowly begin to add the cheese a little at a time, stirring well between each addition to ensure a smooth fondue. Adjust seasoning as needed. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
- If you have a fondue pot, transfer the mixture to the pot, and light it to keep the fondue warm.
- Serve with dippers of choice, and enjoy!
