Ingredients:

For fondue:

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1 scoop of vegan unflavored protein powder
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter or cooking oil of choice
  • 1/2 cup shredded vegan sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Dippers of choice:

  • Crackers
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Bread
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Apples
  • Pita Chips
  • Broccoli

Directions:

  1. In a small pot over medium heat, add in the vegan butter. Once melted, add in the whole wheat flour. Cook for 1 minute.
  2. Pour in 1 cup of vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Add in dijon mustard and protein powder. Then add in the garlic, turmeric, and paprika powders, and mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Cook for about 1 minute. Add more vegetable broth (about 1/2 cup or as needed).
  5. Once simmering, slowly begin to add the cheese a little at a time, stirring well between each addition to ensure a smooth fondue. Adjust seasoning as needed. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  6. If you have a fondue pot, transfer the mixture to the pot, and light it to keep the fondue warm.
  7. Serve with dippers of choice, and enjoy!
