Ingredients:


  • 1 1/2 lb tomatillos (green tomatoes)
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tbsp agave
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Directions:


  1. Remove husks; rinse and slice tomatillos into halves.
  2. Place tomatillos on a baking sheet, and broil for 5-7 minutes until slightly browned.
  3. Once cooled, place roasted tomatoes in a blender with all other ingredients, and pulse until it reaches desired thickness.
  4. Chill for 20-30 minutes before serving.
