What can be said about ZyCarb
1. Enzyme product that targets the digestion of carbohydrates.
2. Provides support for digestion of protein, fats, fiber, and polyphenols.
3. Includes the lactase enzyme for lactose intolerance.
4. May be considered a mild broad-spectrum product, but doesn’t provide the added support for the harder-to-digest proteins that TriEnza does (gluten, casein, in dairy, soy).
5. Good for someone wanting help with gas and bloating from carbohydrates, but don’t want any stool firming that some enzyme products may cause.
6. Comparing ZyCarb and Zyme Prime: ZyCarb is similar to Zyme Prime, but is not likely to firm stools like Zyme Prime. This is because ZyCarb has an additional enzyme—xylanase, which tends to soften stools. Also, ZyCarb has less amylase and less lipase, two enzymes that may firm stools.
7. ZyCarb can be combined with other enzymes for a customized approach, if needed.

9. While many customers ask about TriEnza, they would need only ZyCarb if the only concern is carbs, sugars, starches, lactose intolerance (and/or mild help for proteins and fats). ZyCarb is cheaper per dose than TriEnza.

11. The enzymes for protein digestion in ZyCarb should not be harmful if taken with the capsule opened. Some irritation may occur if the enzyme remains on the cheeks or gums due to breaking down the layer of dead skin cells. We recommend drinking or eating after taking the enzymes to clear the mouth of the enzymes. This problem rarely occurs, but possible.
12. Results: For clear-cut digestive issues, results may be seen with the first meal, assuming they don’t need to adjust the dose.
13. For vague concerns that are difficult to judge, such as mood or behavior, allow up to 2 to 4 weeks. A few cases needed 2 months to determine the enzymes helped with behaviors.
14. Effect on stools only varies slightly. Many have reported it helping (occasional) constipation. It doesn’t typically firm stools, but has on occasion (not to excess).
