Raw Vegan Matcha Brownie Squares

Ingredients:


For brownie:

  • 1 cup of walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of cashew butter
  • 1/4 cup of agave
  • 1/2 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract (skip if going raw)

For green layer:

  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of agave
  • 1 tbsp of matcha powder

Directions:


  1. Process walnuts in food processor and set aside.
  2. Process dates in food processor until you have smaller pieces of dates.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix (with a spoon or your clean hands) all the ingredients with the exception of the ones for the green layer.
  4. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press with your fingertips the chocolate mix into dish.
  5. Place in freezer while you make the green layer.
  6. For the top green layer, combine all ingredients in medium bowl and mix well with a spoon until evenly combined.
  7. Spread matcha mix over the chocolate base and return brownie to freezer for 1 hour.
  8. Remove brownie from freezer and cut brownie into squares.
  9. Store in fridge.
