Ingredients:
For brownie:
- 1 cup of walnuts
- 1/2 cup of cashew butter
- 1/4 cup of agave
- 1/2 cup pitted dates
- 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract (skip if going raw)
For green layer:
- 1/2 cup of coconut oil
- 1/4 cup of agave
- 1 tbsp of matcha powder
Directions:
- Process walnuts in food processor and set aside.
- Process dates in food processor until you have smaller pieces of dates.
- In a medium bowl, mix (with a spoon or your clean hands) all the ingredients with the exception of the ones for the green layer.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press with your fingertips the chocolate mix into dish.
- Place in freezer while you make the green layer.
- For the top green layer, combine all ingredients in medium bowl and mix well with a spoon until evenly combined.
- Spread matcha mix over the chocolate base and return brownie to freezer for 1 hour.
- Remove brownie from freezer and cut brownie into squares.
- Store in fridge.
