- Calcium—in a form more easily processed by the body than typical supplements.
- Phosphorous—a major element in bone formation.
- Strontium—thought to help prevent bone matter from breaking down as rapidly‚ therefore improving bone density.
- Protein—fundamental in the formation of collagen.
Your skeleton is composed of living matter that’s constantly breaking down and regenerating— not just when it’s broken or damaged. In order to maintain proper bone health‚ you need to ensure your bones are receiving the proper nourishment.
Bone formation is a process that starts with proteins in your body forming collagen‚ which weaves together to form a type of mesh that other nutrients will attach to. Calcium‚ phosphorous‚ and many other minerals layer themselves over this mesh and form what are called hydroxyapatite crystals‚ which are what make your bones hard. If your body doesn’t have enough of these proteins and nutrients from your diet‚ your bones will not have the necessary components to be strong.
Dairy products tend to be good sources of minerals like calcium. However‚ there’s an alternative to drinking milk and eating cheese or yogurt. You may want to consider taking a daily supplement like Progressive Labs’ Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite Concentrate (MCHC) as a convenient substitute. MCHC is made from raw powdered calf bone‚ and is thought to have advanced properties which can contribute to proper bone health because it’s not just made up of calcium: it actually contains the other essential nutrients that contribute to strong and healthy bones.
MCHC contains all of these required components in an easily digestible formula that also provides organic components
Some of the ingredients in each capsule of MCHC include:
