      SO GROSS!!!

      from Arizona on 2/21/2021
I can say that I feel like this magnesium makes a difference as far as the benefits that magnesium is known for. I had arm pain and took this one night and the pain left and I thank God for that, but this stuff taste HORRIBLE!!! It definitely needs to be chased down with something afterwards, especially if you are only mixing it in plain room temperature water. I can tolerate a lot of bad tasting supplements in the name of health, but with this, I cant wait to finish the container and be done with it. It just tastes SO BAD lol. However, I do believe it has the health benefits I look for in magnesium glycinate. I would recommend this ONLY if you have a vitamin press kit where you can encapsulate this powder yourself and make magnesium pills, but if not, the taste of this stuff will make you want to toss it straight in the trash lol.

      Pros

It seems to have good health benefits.

      Cons

      THE TASTE IS UNBEARABLE!
    • Golden tip and you're welcome

      from Netherlands on 10/21/2020
For all of you who cannot stand the taste (which is all of you): Mix it with small amount of vitamine C. Yes, ascorbic acid, in powder form. The result: a completely neutral tasting glass of water. Try it and thank me on your knees. I should make money out of this..

      Pros

      Everything

      Cons

      Nothing

      Good

      from Spokane Valley on 6/28/2019
I’ve tried a lot of magnesium. I like this. It doesn’t taste good but it’s not too bad. Tastes like an amino acid. I mix it with a small amount of OJ and shoot it. Sometimes it clumps though.

      Terrible taste!

      from BLOOMINGBURG NY on 6/29/2018
I wish I had listened to the other reviewers who remarked about the awful taste of Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate (TRAACS) by Healthy Origins. I had been using Mg. Glycinate powder by another brand and decided to try this less expensive one in my protein smoothie. What a huge mistake! This stuff has ruined the taste of the smoothie no matter how much fruit I add to it. Yuck. I'm going back to Seeking Health brand.

      Pros

      Nothing.

      Cons

      The taste is awful.

      HalleluJah! Love this

      from Solvang CA on 12/03/2017
Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate (TRAACS) by Healthy Origins always helps to relax the muscles, but sometimes we can get diarrhea from it. This products does everything I want from magnesium with no sign of loose poop!

      Pros

      No diarrhea!

      Cons

It's pricier than most other forms of magnesium

      Good Magnesium Supplement

      from Michigan on 7/17/2017
I am very pleased with this form of Magnesium. After using this Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate (TRAACS®) by Healthy Origins with marginal results, I find this product to be very effective. The taste is as has been reported less than desirable, but you get past that after a few days of taking it and seeing the results. Its kind of like dissolving baking soda in water, only a little bit worse. But, in the final analysis, it works!

      Pros

It works especially well for leg cramps.

      Cons

The taste could be a little bit more palatable.

    • Magnesium powder

from Kansas City, KS on 9/06/2016
Magnesium Bisglycinate Chelate (TRAACS) by Healthy Origins is one of several kinds of magnesium I take daily. I prefer powder over capsules, but this kind tastes pretty bad. I may buy it again, though, because it's supposed to be a bioavailable kind and it's not too expensive.

      Pros

      Powder form, and price.

      Cons

      Tastes pretty bad.

Customer Questions and Answers

1-1 of 1

  • Question:
Somewhere on your bottle label states that this product has 200mg of magnesium which is 50% of the (RDA). But the dosing label states that one level scoop is 2grams which is to be mixed in with 6-8 ounces of fluid. Will one be consuming 200mg once or twice a day, or wll it be 2grams once or twice a day? The two labels contradict each other. I'm confused, so please explain. 2grams twice a day, which is what you say one level scoop amounts to, of chelated magnesium seems like alot. Please get back to me. Thanks.
Karen A Karemkau on 4/19/2015 Answer:
    • Karen, we apologize for the confusion. 1 level scoop is 2 grams of powder. That 2 grams of the powder contains 200 mg of Magnesium . As for how many scoops you should drink per day, please speak with your health care provider to see what would be best for your needs :)
