Description


Lutein is an antioxidant carotenoid that occurs in nature with zeaxanthin‚ a closely related carotenoid. Lutein and zeaxanthin concentrate in the eye’s macula and lens‚ as well as in the brain‚ skin‚ breast and cervical tissues. Both lutein and zeaxanthin protect the macula from degradation normally associated with aging and oxidative stress. The macula is responsible for focus and color differentiation. Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in dark green‚ leafy vegetables. While the average American intake of lutein is only 2 mg per day‚ other population groups consume up to 20 to 25 mg per day.

Dosage

Take 1 softgel per day with food or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional.

      I have been taking it for many years. My retinas are stretched extremely far and could detach. Lutein needs to be doubled if you are over 50 yrs. old, so I take twice a day. I have no age related eye disease whatsoever. I see a Retina Specialist annually. She is amazed.

      I was pretty much blind to read any thing close up , labels, news papers, cell phone, just my age I thought, my son lives with me and he was getting very tired of being my eyes for me, at every store, I would say what's in this, will you read this, so I watched a program on this Lutein, I have taken for 6 months now and I'm not joking when I say, I can read my cell phone, labels on food, news pappers, So very happy I can see much better with this product. Ps take with a little oil, like coconut or toast with butter, It makes it absorb better.
