Biotics Research’s Lactozyme contains probiotics—microorganisms that are thought to perform vital functions in the body—including Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus acidophilus. Why is this important? Good health is all about balance‚ and evidence suggests that probiotics (also known as ‘good’ bacteria) can help your body defend itself from the harmful bacteria that invade the digestive system.
Studies have shown that probiotics may provide extra support to the immune system when it needs it most. They work by potentially stimulating the immune system and causing it to work harder to combat infections. Probiotics are present in a variety of foods—most commonly yogurt—but are also available in easy-to-take dietary supplements like Lactozyme.
Ongoing research into probiotics and the role they play in digestive health is providing a raft of evidence that suggests these microorganisms can help alleviate the symptoms of diarrhea‚ yeast infections‚ irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)‚ bladder problems‚ intestinal infections‚ and the common cold.
Bifidobacterium bifidum plays a vital role in creating an intestinal balance between B complex vitamins and vitamin K. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy growth and energy production‚ while vitamin K promotes bone health. Meanwhile‚ Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of the most prevalent types of ‘good’ bacteria. It may help treat gastrointestinal problems and make digestion easier; the latter can also have a positive impact on your general health‚ due to the potentially increased absorption of nutrients.
Each bottle of Lactozyme by Biotics Research contains 180 tablets.
