  • Dismuzyme Plus™ Granules supplies Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) and catalase from Biotics Research Corporation's proprietary vegetable culture. Free radicals cause biological damage‚ generally by oxidative processes. SOD is the primary enzymatic free radical scavenger in humans. It functions to convert superoxide radicals to hydrogen peroxide and oxygen. Likewise‚ catalase converts hydrogen peroxide to oxygen and water‚ and therefore complements the activity of SOD. These activities are a crucial part of the cellular antioxidant defense mechanism‚ and by virtue of this function‚ these compounds play a role in moderating the aging process. Dismuzyme Plus™ supplies this proprietary vegetable culture in a granulated form‚ thus offers a potent form of these two antioxidant enzymes.

Since it has a strange flavor, what would you recommend to mix it with to take it? Ex. stir into milk, juice, sprinkle on salad...?? Just looking for an idea that is do-able. thanks

    • PureFormulas on 3/08/2016

Hi there Odette, unfortunately the bottle does not specify what to mix it with, but you can try to mix it with different liquids until you find one that satisfies you the most.

  • Q Jill Holloway on 10/14/2015

I need to know what vegetable cultures this product contains. I can not have certain vegetables.

    • PureFormulas on 10/23/2015

Thank you for reaching out to us, Jill. The vegetable cultures this product contains are peas and lentils. The SOD is from non soy legumes.
