    Choose carefully

NOW Foods Cedarwood Oil was much more powerful than I had originally anticipated, almost like burning wood. Best used as a base note in low proportion to other oils (like bergamot). If you are not sure about NOW Cedarwood Oil, try NOW Atlas Cedar Oil! It's in the same family of scents, but a little less overpowering and more pleasant :)

    Pros

Good base note for male blends.

    Cons

VERY strong and powerful scent! Almost too strong to work with.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    The price is right ---

I bought Cedarwood Oil for use on my canine and his on again/off again skin issues I cannot report results as of yet. But out of the 4 oils I purchased Cedarwood Oil is the one he seeks out. (homeopathic practitioners for canines will often say a dog knows what he needs and will indicate that to you by *choosing* one essential oil over another make your own educated guess on that one) Anyway Cedarwood Oil is a very good multi-purpose essential oil. I would recommend it to anyone looking to build their collection especially as it is one of the cheaper oils to produce and sell.

    Pros

      Price -- Multi-purpose --

    My curly hair loves it!

As far as the scent its not the best very woodsy and strong but great for the hair. I like to add this in to my pre conditioning treatments as well as my water spritz mix. Even though it has a strong smell it doesnt linger in my hair. Excellent essential oil to mix with peppermint and tea tree. Ant beat the great price!

    Pros

Great for hair moisturizing all natural and pure good price lasts a long time multi uses.

    Cons

      Strong scent

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Extremely powerful but smells amazing!

NOW Foods Cedarwood Oil is extremely powerful! One or two drops is plenty otherwise it is overwhelming (I made that mistake the first time I used the product) One or two drops is great for aromatherapy use. Often times I add one or two drops to other essential oils and either put it in my oil warmer or I will put the oils on a cotton ball and place it somewhere in my room. Great product, great price!

    Pros

Great price, aromatherapy benefits, strong product, pure product, fast shipping.

    Cons

Stronger than other products, needs to be diluted more.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Smells like a campfire!

I have the atlas cedar from now foods and I, personally, think that's the true cedarwood'. This is juniperus virginiana which seems to be of the juniper family and not cedar (atlas cedar is cedrus atlantica). I mainly got Cedarwood Oil by NOW Foods for the low price and. Why not?!? It smells amazing!! Smells like a bonfire and has many medicinal uses! Definitely smells worlds different than atlas cedar though. Love now essential oils and definitely love PureFormulas prices!

    Pros

Smells like a bonfire, many medicinal uses.

    Cons

    Excellant for sleep and eczema.

I purchased Cedarwood Oil by NOW Foods because I wanted an affordable option to introduce myself to the essential oils world. I combine this oil with either olive oil or sweet almond oil and massage my kiddos' feet with it before bedtime. I think it really helps them relax and it really helps them sleep better. In addition, I've used this oil (diluted with olive or sweet almond oil) to help with my eczema. It has really made a huge difference in my skin. I highly recommend cedarwood oil for helping with sleep and relieve the itch and dry skin or eczema.

    Pros

Affordable, seems like quality stuff, works!

    Cons

      Smells strong.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Smells like summertime.

Cedarwood Oil by NOW Foods has a great scent. Reminds me of a campfire and brings back memories. It does have a slight "burnt wood" scent, but I actually like it.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

When I checked out there was a warning that each oil I purchased contained an ingredient that may cause cancer. What ingredient does this refer to? I plan to use the oils in my diffuser instead of burning candles. Thank you.
