Zinc probably doesn't get enough credit‚ if you really think about it. This mineral promotes immune health‚ which may allow your body to protect itself from sickness more effectively. In addition to its providing a line of defense‚ it helps your body absorb and utilize important B complex vitamins (which have their own array of benefits).
There are over two dozen enzymes in the body that utilize zinc. These enzymes are involved in processes like metabolism and digestion; one of them is called carbonic anhydrase‚ and it helps your cells and tissues absorb oxygen and release carbon dioxide. Pure Encapsulations' Zinc (Citrate) is a convenient way to ensure that you have enough. The zinc in this supplement has been derived from earthen ore.
Tissues throughout the body can benefit from zinc‚ because it supports their healthy development. Zinc is also the mineral largely responsible for forming collagen‚ the primary structural protein of connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons. It promotes healthy‚ smooth-looking skin‚ as well as shiny hair and strong nails; but its benefits go far beyond physical appearance. All smooth muscle tissues--including the digestive tract‚ heart‚ bladder‚ kidneys‚ and blood vessels--contain collagen. Collagen levels may tend to naturally decline with age‚ but zinc may stimulate healthy production of it.
Both men and women can benefit from zinc citrate‚ which is an easily absorbed zinc chelate. It may promote prostate health‚ while also supporting the reproductive system.
Each bottle of Zinc (Citrate) by Pure Encapsulations contains 180 capsules‚ which should last from three to six months at the recommended dosage. Take one or two capsules daily‚ in divided doses with meals.
Pure Encapsulations seeks to formulate and manufacture high-quality‚ hypoallergenic dietary supplements. Quality control during the formulation and manufacturing process is paramount. All Pure Encapsulations products are made with the most bioavailable ingredients possible.
