Cancer cells and Vitamin D3
June 22, 2014
My ND doctor explained to me that when we allow vitamin D3 to fall below the reference levels in our bodies, our cells can grow wildly and can turn into cancer tumors. Cancer cells are not recognized as being dangerous by the body's immune system because it sees the cancer cells as its own legitimate cells. I was below reference levels for a number of years and had problems with my vertigo. I was put on 5000 I.Us a day for six months and still I did not reach the reference levels of D3. It took another seven months at 10,000 I.U.s of D3a day to reach the reference levels after two blood panel tests. My vertigo problems disappeared as did my migraine headaches. Check with your MD or ND before taking large doses like I do. It is better to know where you stand with your D3 levels than to do guess work. Also, my energy levels are up and staying there, better sleep quality. I still take 10,000 I. U.s a day because that is what it takes for me to stay within the reference levels. I do a blood panel every six months. Other people may have different requirements of D3 intake . Check with your MD doctor, or your ND doctor. Seventy percent of the population in the world has below reference levels of D3 because of air pollution that affects proper sunlight to reach us.
Pros:Marvelous results with D3.
Cons:None that I have experienced so far after 2 years.
