Vitamin D 1000 IU was recommended to me by a nutritionist at St. Helena's Medical Center after testing showed I was low on Vitamin D. Douglas Laboratories makes reliably good products and are worth the price.
I prefer natural sun exposure but if that is not possible on a daily basis or if I am doing work or exercise which strains my joints, I take one Vitamin D 1000 IU by Douglas Laboratories a day for a few days. Vitamin D 1000 IU really helps keep my joints in good working condition and pain-free. There are many benefits to Vitamin D-3.

I saw a biochemist to find out what vitamins and supplements I needed to take and of course I needed vitamin D. This is the brand and strength she recommended. A lot of training and research goes into her knowing which brands of vitamins are effective and not just a waste of money. My vitamin D levels are normal now.
