I'm was happy to find Thyro Complex which contains glands from New Zealand animals, and doesn't have a lot of excipients (extra fillers/free flowing agents). The thyroid glandular I was taking before contained magnesium stearate, which I heard can inhibit absorption. The only extra ingredient in this product the vegetable MCT base. I contacted the company about what an MCT base is, and here the response I received: "Medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) are partially man-made fats. The name refers to the way the carbon atoms are arranged in their chemical structure. MCTs are generally made by processing coconut and palm kernel oils in the laboratory. Usual dietary fats, by comparison, are long-chain triglycerides." Their MCT base is from coconut.
Pros:glands from New Zealand animals,
not a lot of excipients,
no magnesium stearate
