Pure Encapsulations’ Silymarin (Milk Thistle Extract) features a natural ingredient that has been used for centuries due to its health benefits. This
supplement contains milk thistle extract that has been derived from the Silybum marianum fruit. The herb is highly active, and works to protect your liver in
several ways. Each dose contains 80 percent pure silymarin, maximizing its effectiveness.
This supplement promotes healthy liver function by combating free
radical damage, as well as the damage to the cells that may be caused by cirrhosis. Cirrhosis is a chronic liver disease that occurs when the tissues in
the organ are replaced by fibrosis, scar tissue, and other nodules. The most common causes of this condition are long-term alcoholism and hepatitis B and C.
