Estrogen plus Methycoblomin (Sublingual B-12) Eliminates Mild Bladder Disfunction
September 25, 2013
Our mothers were embarrassed and reluctant to say WHY we needed to take estrogen or do Kegal exercises. The answer is: so we don’t end up wearing depends because our bladder is getting let down by its own aging suspension system and squashed by an exhausted, estrogen-starved womb.
This problem surfaces gradually. We older women find it wicked difficult to say we pee when we sneeze, cough, laugh too hard, or wait just a little too long to use the bathroom. But it happens. Then it begins to happen more frequently. At the slightest change in position (e.g., the bladder fills just enough to pull down on its suspension system, or sudden pressure from above slams your uterus down on your bladder). you pee with little or no warning. Boom.
Here is the anatomy in a simplified nutshell: the sigmoid colon (lower end of the large intestine) sits on top of the uterus, and the uterus sits on top of the bladder. At some point in a woman’s 50’s or 60’s, the estrogen that keeps tissue and cartilage in these areas pliant and strong dries up. This is especially true of the uterus (and vagina, for that matter). However, the vagina is behind the bladder and is not pertinent to this topic.
The uterus, once able to easily adjust to change in organs around it (specifically the colon above and bladder below) does not adjust so easily when you age. When the bladder starts to fill, the uterus (once able to ‘float’ upwards) just sits there, exerting added pressure on the bladder. Pressure on the uterus from a full colon above it only adds to the load born by the bladder. For many women, daily use of two capsules of Nature's Answer Red clover for estrogen followed by one tablet of good Methycobalamin (sublingual B-12), which is as close to receiving a B-12 shot from the doctor as you can come, simply eliminates bladder leakage. That is why I use this product. Klaire Labs produces the best form of Methycobalamin. Costco/Kirkland sublingual B-12 works fine. I tried a cheap B-12 sublingual, Methylcobalamin that did not work at all. You have to have the right stuff!!
Pros:Natural estrogen, not animal urine.
Cons:Works perfectly well.
