    A Dietary Supplement

This product is intended for the following protocol: Brain/Cognitive Support.

Phosphatidyl Serine is a phospholipid compound derived from soy lecithin that plays an essential role in cell membrane composition and intercellular communication. Phosphatidyl Serine is a major structural component of neural membranes where it assists in the conduction of electrical impulses and facilitates the activity of neurotransmitters involved in learning‚ memory and mood. Ginkgo Biloba is an herbal extract known for its beneficial effect on brain function and has demonstrated powerful antioxidant activity in scientific studies. These properties make Phosphatidyl Serine & Ginkgo Biloba an ideal supplement for the support of cognitive function.

Phosphatidyl Serine is a naturally occurring nutrient and essential component of human cell membranes. Although Phosphatidyl Serine can be found in the membranes of all cells‚ it is especially concentrated in the nerve cells of the brain. In dietary supplement form‚ it is derived from soybeans and is one of the compounds within a group known as phospholipids.

Phosphatidyl Serine has several important functions. It can help support nerve cells health and assist in establishing receptor sites in the brain. Phosphatidyl Serine can also help to support cell to cell communication‚ and thereby may support memory‚ learning‚ concentration‚ mood‚ alertness‚ sociability‚ and reaction time.
This exceptional‚ one of a kind product also contains Ginkgo Biloba. Ginkgo comes from a very unique and ancient tree. The name "Ginkgo" comes from its older Chinese name‚ "silver fruit‚" and the Chinese have used Ginkgo for thousands of years. First introduced to Europe in the 1700's‚ Ginkgo is one of the most researched herbs in the world. It is widely recognized in promoting optimal circulation‚ healthy cognitive function‚ free-radical destruction and cellular protection.

Ginkgo is generally well tolerated in the suggested usage range and has an excellent safety profile. There are rare reports of headache‚ dizziness‚ stomach upset‚ nausea‚ diarrhea‚ vomiting‚ muscle weakness‚ loss of muscle tone‚ restlessness‚ heart racing‚ rash‚ ocular events‚ and irritation around the mouth with the use of Ginkgo. The herb may affect blood pressure and bleeding time. Significant warnings would appear to be limited to pregnancy and lactation‚ use of coumadin or other anticoagulants‚ surgery‚ anticonvulsants‚ and antidepressants. It should be noted that German authorities do not consider Ginkgo to exhibit significant interactions with other medications or to pose a danger during pregnancy and lactation.

Both Ginkgo and PS may affect bleeding time. PS may affect the body's response to heparin‚ a very strong prescription blood thinner. It is possible that combined use of PS and any drug or supplement that thins the blood could interfere with normal blood clotting enough to cause problems.
