May not be safe for diabetics
January 25, 2012
I am a type 1 (juvenile) diabetic and have been for over 45 years. I was given Perma-Clear for a slight yeast infection by a holistic practioner & my normally well-controlled blood sugars SOARED up to almost 400mg, yet my diet & activity did not change. When I skipped a dose, everything was fine. As soon as I took it, again my blood sugar again went sky-high, as though something was blocking my insulin absorption or like I had eaten a ton of sugar & not taken any insulin. The high blood sugar lasted for 8 or more hours, despite an extra dose of insulin, during that period. I note the product does contain N-Acetylglucosamine (750 mg) second highest content ingredient. Glucosamine can raise blood sugars in diabetics. Therefore, it will also not help any yeast infection - which FEEDs on sugars in the body.
Pros:Nothing, cannot work as intended.
Cons:Raises my blood sugar to extremely high (UNSAFE) levels when I take the 3 recommended pills.
