Bacteria, fungi, viruses, parasites, allergens, and toxins—all of these potentially harmful substances are practically everywhere. You can’t always avoid them, no matter how hard you try, and attempting to do so can rob you from
living life to the fullest. Your best option in order to avoid getting sick is to keep your body as healthy as possible by eating a well-balanced diet (preferably with organic foods) and exercising regularly.
However, even living a
healthy lifestyle may not be enough. You’re bound to get sick at one time or another, if only because you can’t control everybody else in the world. The flu, the common cold, tooth infections, athlete’s foot, food poisoning from e. coli,
and skin rashes are just a small sample of the ailments you can acquire from daily living. There are various conventional medications that treat these ailments, but there are also other options.
If you want a natural remedy, you
can take oregano oil. Oregano oil is a powerful antioxidant derived from the herb, which has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It’s also an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. You can ingest oregano oil to treat or
relieve the symptoms of internal illnesses such as the flu, or bacteria- or parasite-related diarrhea. For external illnesses such as skin rashes or abscesses, you can also apply oregano oil topically.
Allergy Research Group’s
Oregano Oil Softgels may help you prevent or treat certain viral, bacterial, and fungal illnesses. The active ingredients in this supplement are oregano oil and rice bran oil; the latter is an antioxidant that could reduce skin irritation
and prevent some of the damage caused by UV rays.
You can either take one to two softgels of Oregano Oil by Allergy Research Group daily with meals, or break open the softgels to rub the oil directly on the affected areas of your skin.
Each bottle of 60 softgels should provide you with about one to two months’ worth.

Overall Rating for Oregano Oil 60 Softgels
(based on 1 review)
Excellent for Parasitic Infection
By Cygnia from Hailey, ID on February 16, 2011
Oregano Oil deserves respect - its pretty string stuff and I only take it with big meals, especially if my stomach is sensitive. I once had a bout of giardia that was allergic to flagil (honestly the worst drug in existence), so after I put myself through the hell of trying flagil only to find it didn't work, I talked to my NP about using Oregano Oil for treating the giardia. The duration of the treatment is much longer (6 weeks) with 2 softgels 3 times per day, but it worked like a charm. I wouldn't travel internationally without it. This is also an excellent brand.
Pros:
Powerful anti-parasitic with some anti-bacterial abilities too.
Cons:
Can be hard on sensitive stomachs - needs to be taken with food.
