Severe allergic reaction
June 4, 2012
I experienced a severe allergic reaction to Niacin by Country Life which resulted in a sudden trip to ER at the nearest hospital. I intended to purchase it as a replacement for a flush-free type of Niacin, which I had been taking without a problem for about 8 months, but I did not realize Niacin was not the flush-free type. I purchased supplements from Country Life before with successful results, but I strongly urge Country Life and PureFormulas to warn purchasers to beware of potential allergic reactions to supplements that have had a strong history of allergic reaction. In the meantime, I strongly urge other customers to read labels carefully and seek the advice of a physician before taking Niacin. Although it may be safe for a small percent of people, I truly would not give Niacin any stars.
Cons:Lacking prominent warning labels about potential dangers of taking the product.
