  • The main ingredient in Indian curry is turmeric‚ which is derived from the natural Curcuma longa root. Turmeric is known for its potential health benefits‚ which come from a compound called curcumin‚ and has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for centuries . If you can't or don't want to handle the heat of spicy foods‚ that doesn't mean you have to be left out. CurcumaSorb (formerly known as Meriva®) by Pure Encapsulations is a supplement that provides 250 milligrams of turmeric--which has been standardized to contain 18 percent curcuminoids--in each vegetable capsule.

Curcumin may lessen potentially painful or annoying inflammation or swelling‚ due to its involvement in gene regulation. Its compounds may support joint functioning and comfort‚ liver functioning‚ detoxificaton‚ and immunity. A stronger immune system can make it less likely that you get sick‚ while healthier joints promote increased mobility (allowing you to be more physically active and maintain overall health). This extract may also support healthy digestion and help your skin appear more radiant. Furthermore‚ CurcumaSorb may support the musculoskeletal system and brain.

Meriva® is a highly bioavailable turmeric phytosome‚ meaning that it's easier for your body to absorb than other turmeric extracts. Curcumin is combined with phosphatidylcholine in a 1:2 ratio‚ allowing it to pass through the digestive tract more smoothly without being degraded. This patented curcumin-phosphatidylcholine complex is also absorbed across membranes more effectively. One unique vegetable capsule provides up to 20 times the benefit of standard curcumin.

Take two to six capsules of Pure Encapsulations' CurcumaSorb per day‚ in divided doses between meals. At the recommended dosage‚ each 180-capsule bottle should last from one to three months.

Pure Encapsulations seeks to formulate and manufacture high-quality‚ hypoallergenic dietary supplements. Quality control during the formulation and manufacturing process is paramount. All Pure Encapsulations products are made with the most bioavailable ingredients possible.

    Not A Good Value

CurcumaSorb did very little for my inflammation when compared to Turmeric Extract available at half the cost. For my particular joint pain the TE was much more effective.

    Pros

Compatible with other supplements I was taken

    Cons

Less impact on inflammation and higher dosage cost
