Meriva-500 120 Vegetarian Capsules by Thorne Research
By John Robinson from San Francisco on March 23, 2012

I am taking Meriva Curcumin for arthritis and also in conjunction with
Celgene's Revlimid 10mg daily for relapsed Multiple Myeloma. I take 2gs of Meriva daily.
Blood tests for the Myeloma have showed a remarkable decrease in the marker,
Free Light Chains, by 33% in the space of a month and a half. The arthritis is still there, but
steadily improving. I have no idea of Curcumin's actual effect in either case. There hasn't
been much concrete scientific evidence as to its effectiveness. The Pharmaceutical Industry
doesn't stand to profit much from such a commonly available substance, so there's no
wonder not much has been done to test it. As to whether or not Meriva is more
bioavailable due to phytosome, there again the evidence really isn't there. But I use it
anyway because of the proven results with curcumin on tumor growth in vitro, and I
have seen hopeful results in my own case.
Pros:
Positive results.Cons:
Not much in the way of concrete evidence regarding its effectiveness or bioavailabilityI would recommend this item to a friend.
Excellent value for price

Meriva -500 is what my holistic doctor recommended, and it seems to help alleviate pain more than some other brands I've tried. And this version is a very high potency capsule.
Cons:
Nothing!I would recommend this item to a friend.
