My wellness doc/chiropractor recommended L-Theanine to me to help me with stress and anxiety. Life is busy and it's easy to get stressed out about everything that needs to get done each day, but L-Theanine really helps me to not get so worked up so I'm able to get on with my day in a calmer, happier, yet totally alert and in control way. I've also found that if I do find myself getting a little too stressed when I've taken the product that it is easier for me to calm myself down (I do "belly-breathing"--works great!). I've also taken L-Theanine at bedtime to help me relax and be able to sleep better.
Pros:It helps me to have less anxiety as I go about my day and to get better sleep at night. It does not make me sleepy, and best of all, it is a natural product without the potential for harmful side-effects.
Cons:It's kind of expensive, especially if you take 2-3 a day which I sometimes do depending on what's going in my life at the moment.
