Vitamin C is an essential water-soluble antioxidant formula for horses that supports circulation, the immune system, and cardiovascular function.

Equine Vitamin C is 100% pure Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) and is an excellent complement to the horse’s diet as Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals during times of stress, injury and illness.
Free radicals contribute to many of the health problems that are associated with aging. As horses age, their plasma levels of Vitamin C decrease and their immune system becomes less e?cient. Equine Vitamin C is a powerful free radical scavenger that protects the body’s cells and supports the immune system.

Recommended for: joint, cardiovascular, and periodontal support, as well as stressed, geriatric, injured or immune compromised horses.

Vitamin C is required for production of hormones, catecholamines, steroids, epinephrine (adrenaline), cortisone, and the synthesis of interferon, cholesterol, hemoglobin, and carnitine.

Vitamin C supports tissue growth and vascular walls. It also supports maintenance of healthy gums.

Vitamin C in required for production of collagen and other structural elements of connective tissue in cartilage and joint health (like elastin, ? bronectin, proteoglycans, and bone matrix).

Vitamin C assists in the absorption, transport, and storage of iron and calcium.

Vitamin C is also important for the formation of folic acid and the metabolism of amino acids and B vitamins.

Stress, illness, injury and heavy exercise can result in loss of Vitamin C. Horses on anti-in? ammatory medication, corticosteroids or antibiotics also may have depressed levels of Vitamin C.
