Red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) – Chinese botanical which has
been used for many aging-related diseases such as coronary heart
disease, chronic bronchitis, hypertension and cancer. Also has
been traditionally used for a wide range of ailments such as acute
bronchitis, viral infections and sleeplessness.
Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis) – Chinese botanical shown
in clinical studies to have an antibiotic effect. Balances muscle
contractions, bronchodilator in the case of lung imbalance, sooth-
ing to cramping intestines or uterus, balances rhythmic fow in the
body.
Turkey Tail (Coriolus versicolor) – In China it is considered useful
for infection and/or infammation of the upper respiratory, urinary,
and digestive tracts. May help with liver ailments, including hepati-
tis B and chronic active hepatitis, and is used for general immune
weakness and tumors.
Maitake (Grifola frondosa) – Has been used for immune stimula-
tion, support for chemotherapy and with viral infections.
Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) – Has been used for any and all
diseases involving depressed immune function, including cancer,
AIDS, environmental allergies, Candida infections and frequent fu
and colds.
Silver Ear (Tremella fuciformis) – Chinese botanical known to
nourish stomach and lung yin. Traditionally used for lung disor-
ders.
Milk Vetch (Astragalus) – Chinese botanical that has been
traditionally used to tonify the Qi and blood, for defciency with
spontaneous sweating, also tonifes the lungs and is used for
frequent colds.
