Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) – Has been used by the Chinese for thousands of years as a tonic for the female reproductive system
for support with menstrual disorders, PMS, menopausal symptoms and uterine cramps. It has also been used by the Chinese to
strengthen the heart, lung and liver meridians; to lubricate the bowels; and to harmonize the Blood for the treatment of congealed
blood conditions and with defcient blood patterns.
False Unicorn (Chamaelirium luteum) – Used traditionally for clearing breast congestion, for infertility, and for balancing the female
system including regulating the female cycle, balancing hormones and diminishing fbroids. Eclectic physicians valued the root as a
uterine tonic supporting and toning the female reproductive organs; also for uterine prolapse, anemia associated with reproductive
problems, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, ovarian pain, morning sickness and threatened miscarriage.
Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – Traditional therapeutic uses include soothing of the mucous membranes of the urinary, respiratory
and digestive tracts. Other traditional uses include gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, adrenocortical insuffciency and
upper respiratory disease.
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) – Traditional Western herbal medicine has used this herb for heart disease and cardiac debility.
For female reproductive problems it has been used for amenorrhea, uterine pain and period pain. Lastly, it has been believed to have
antithyroid activity for mild hyperthyroidism.
Peony Root (Paeonia offcinalis) – Used historically as a blood toner and cleanser, a liver tonic and as a relaxant to reduce tension
when used in combination with other herbs. Peony Root has also been used by Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners as a tonic
and pain reliever for menstrual pain and breakthrough bleeding.

Chasteberry (Vitex agnus castus) – Traditionally used to promote lactation, to assist menstrual irregularities, premenstrual tension,
cramps, infertility and to balance libido.
