  • The sheer amount of vitamins and minerals that kids need for their growing bodies is staggering. Of course‚ a healthy balanced diet is the ideal source of these nutrients—but what about the picky eaters‚ or those with tiny appetites? Green vegetables don’t appeal to many young palates‚ but that doesn’t mean that children should be deficient in nutrients until they come around. In those cases‚ a supplement can help make your life easier.

Thorne Research formulated Children’s Basic Nutrients specifically for younger bodies. Customers say that it’s effective for kids of all ages. All of the standard nutrients are in each dose‚ including vitamins A‚ C‚ D‚ E‚ K‚ B-3‚ B-6‚ and B-12; calcium; iron; folate; zinc; iodine; and potassium.

This capsule is unique because of its small‚ kid-appropriate size that’s easy to swallow for most. The high-quality nutrients are no less bioavailable or effective when the contents of these capsules are mixed into food or liquid (all you have to do is take it apart). Either way‚ the recommended dosage of six capsules per day will be absorbed by their bodies equally well.

A significant number of multivitamin and mineral supplements created for children are full of artificial binders‚ fillers‚ and sugars. Many kids are also allergic to some of the ingredients that they include. Children’s Basic Nutrients is different‚ because it uses only the purest ingredients available. You buy the most natural‚ effective supplements for yourself—why should you accept anything less for your kids?

Children’s Basic Nutrients capsules are fully vegetarian and hypoallergenic; they are also gluten-free‚ and therefore suited to young Celiac disease patients. In addition‚ this supplement contains no lactose.

This bottle of 180 capsules should last you for about one month. When you run out‚ your kids will probably be begging for more!

    Thorne Research Childrens Basic Nutrien

I am really pleased with this product and so is my daughter! Whats exceptional about this product is the fact that there are no fillers and the vitamins are whole food sourced...... no synthetic forms of B-12 in this kids multivitamin! Thorne Research uses methylcobalamin the form of B-12 that the human body recognizes and utilizes naturally. Also there are no "natural flavors" in other words chemicals included. No other additives either. One of the best kid multivitamins on the market!

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Great multivitamin for kids

I looked for a long time to find a supplement for my son that was safe because of his sensitivities. The pills are very small and easy to swallow. The quality is very good and I will continue to buy these as they are best for children with allergies or sensitivities.

    Pros

      small easy to swallow

    Cons

I would recommend this item to a friend.

    Not Chewable

I must not have read the description well enough to see that these are not chewable. They are childrens vitamins and you have to swallow??!!?? My boys are 4 5 and 8 they dont swallow pills yet. I tried to open them to just give it to them that way and it was very bitter and nasty tasting. I wont order Childrens Basic Nutrients again. Im sure the ingredient content is very good but it is not in a form for kids to take easily!!

    Pros

      Good ingredients

    Cons

      Not chewable

    Sneaky mom...

I have to be very careful about getting my 3 year old to take these of course she cant swallow a pill yet so I have to break them open and mix them with something that disguises the taste ketchup seems to work well as well as other acidic foods and drinks.

    Pros

      Complete and all natural.

    Cons

Not a chewable (I knew that when I bought it though).

    Great kids vitamin!

Many of the vitamins for children are loaded with sugar and fillers. This is a pure product! I open the capsules and put them in a smoothie for my kids.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
