  • Your skeleton is one of the most important parts of your body. The skeletal system gives form to your body and supports your skin. Your bones are strong but light‚ and despite appearance‚ they’re not set like concrete and never changing. Instead your bones are living tissues that are constantly breaking down and being repaired. The mineral chiefly responsible for this repair process is calcium.

Calcium is the most plentiful mineral in the human body‚ and 99 percent of it is found in your bones and teeth. Besides bone strength‚ calcium is also needed for proper muscle movement and for nerve signals to be carried throughout your body. Calcium also enables the release of crucial hormones and enzymes as well as blood circulation (where the remaining one percent of the mineral is).

If you have a calcium deficiency‚ your body takes this mineral from your bones to use in your blood. Because of this‚ there are few early symptoms. However‚ many years of calcium deficiency can lead to brittle bones that are weak and easily broken‚ which can negatively affect mobility.

You can usually get enough calcium by consuming dairy products. Some vegetables‚ such as kale and broccoli‚ are also loaded with calcium. However‚ if you don't eat a balanced diet‚ you may have trouble obtaining sufficient levels. In this case‚ you may need to take a calcium supplement.

Calcium Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite 2000 mg by Douglas Laboratories can provide the calcium you need to protect and strengthen your bones. Besides containing calcium in two forms—microcrystalline hydroxyapatite and calcium microcrystalline‚ the latter of which is highly absorbable form of calcium—each tablet also provides boron and phosphorus. Boron is a trace mineral essential to preventing bone deterioration. Phosphorus is another mineral important in bone formation and support.

Take two tablets of Douglas Labs’ Calcium Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite 2000 mg‚ one or two times per day.
