Kirkman® developed this buffered Vitamin C products in response to the need for a higher daily dose of vitamin C (one to three grams) that physicians were recommending to our customers.

At the time, Kirkman® offered two forms of vitamin C -- our popular chewable tablets and hypoallergenic capsules. These are dosed at 250 mg, but for customers who needed a higher dose, these products may have been impracticial or inconvenient.

Kirkman's Buffered Vitamin C Unflavored Powder offers 1100 mg (1.1 gm) in each recommended serving size of ¼ teaspoon. It is easy to administer and is great tasting. Our Buffered Vitamin C Powder is formulated with sodium, potassium and magnesium ascorbates to produce a buffered, acid balanced product that is very gentle on the stomach, because the normal high acidity of ascorbic acid is counteracted by the ascorbates.

This product is part of Kirkman's Bio-Max series, ensuring a form of vitamin C that is formulated to be extremely high in absorption qualities. The Bio-Max series of Kirkman products utilizes the form of the specific nutrient which has been clinically shown to be the best or one of the best forms of that nutrient with respect to absorption and bioavailability.

Vitamin C is the most popular vitamin supplement in the United States. The human body does not manufacture its own vitamin C, therefore dietary sources and supplementation must be relied on to prevent deficiency.
